If (and that’s a massive if) console versions of D4 have online only stored saves like PC will have. PC version does not need to be polluted with that. D3 particulary on Switch is an utter cheatfest, hacked items and such are a real plague. Here’s hoping Blizzard make an official announcement sooner rather than later.ĭiablo 3 is currently available on PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360, while it’s slated for launch on the Nintendo Switch with Diablo 3: Eternal Collection on November 2. There will never be cross-saves between PC and consoles, for D3 at least. Given the massive player base Diablo 3 has across all the systems it is currently available on, as well as how reliant it is on multiplayer mechanics, the game would benefit greatly from having cross-play enabled. “It’s a question of when, not if,” they said on the issue. Though they haven’t announced anything official yet, they’re working with both Sony and Microsoft to enable cross-platform play for the game in time for its looming Nintendo Switch release. According to the Blizzard rep, it’s only a matter of time. Speaking to Business Insider, a Blizzard representative confirmed that they’re working on cross-play support for Diablo 3. One such game is Blizzard’s dungeon crawling RPG, Diablo 3. UPDATE: We have received a statement from Blizzard regarding cross-platform implementation in Diablo 3: “While we love the idea of bringing our players together across platforms, we do not have any plans to implement cross-platform gameplay for Diablo at this time.”įollowing Sony’s about turn on their stance on cross-play, we’re now seeing more and more games considering the possibility of including support for it across all systems.
